With over 50 million albums sold worldwide, two Grammy Awards and numerous chart-topping singles, Linkin Park is one of the most successful rock bands to come out of the mid 1990s. The band, made up of Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn, is known for melding genres to create their own hybrid brand of rock. Linkin Park has reinvented itself once again for the release of their 5th studio album, Living Things, focusing more on the personal rather than political side of things.
"We stuck with themes that revolved around personal relationships," Bennington tells iHeartRadio. "It's really about more of the things that inspire us, the things that drive us, the things that are challenging to us in our lives." As for the sound, he says, "We've got a lot of electronic, pulsing, driving, elements to the record… throughout the entire album. The so called ‘slower' songs on the record actually have a high energy; they have a driving beat."
Led by the single "Burn It Down" Living Things is sure to please Linkin Park fans who've been there since the Hybrid Theory days and appeal to new audiences alike. Living Things is available now.
